FIGHTING WITH PRIDE

Last month we attended Fighting with Pride’s Scottish launch event in Stirling at the invitation of Douglas Morgan, Veterans Community Worker.
Fighting with Pride supports the health and wellbeing of LGBT+Veterans, service personnel and their families – in particular those most impacted by the ban on LGBT+ personnel serving in the Armed Forces prior to January 2000.
At Trades Training we often work with veterans retraining after leaving the forces and our director Antony previously served in the armed forces, so veteran welfare is something we’re passionate about.

This was a great opportunity for us to learn about the work being done by Fighting with Pride in raising awareness and helping the military community in Scotland. It was encouraging to see the support provided to veterans affected by the ban.
