Best budget cordless drill in 2026?

Apprentice budget here. Looking for a combi drill under £120 that will take a beating on site. Makita, DeWalt, or is one of the cheaper brands actually decent now? What is everyone running?

Honestly the Makita DHP482 kit is hard to beat for the money. Batteries last for ages.

I have got the DeWalt equivalent and it has been faultless for 2 years. Whichever platform you buy into, stick with it so your batteries carry over.

Plus one on picking a battery platform and sticking to it. That is the real cost, not the drill.

Cheers all, going to grab the Makita kit while it is on offer. Appreciate it 👍
